Compress Video for Discord
Marukit's Compress Video for Discord is a free web tool that fits a video under Discord's upload limit. It aims a little under the size you pick, encodes an H.264 MP4 that plays in Discord, and checks the real output size.
Your video is uploaded over HTTPS, processed on our server, and deleted automatically: the upload as soon as processing ends, the result 30 minutes after it is ready.
About this tool
According to Discord's Help Center, free accounts can upload files up to 20 MB, Nitro Basic up to 50 MB and Nitro up to 1 GB. That last one is more than Marukit's own upload limit, so there's no 1 GB option here.

Frequently asked questions
What is Discord's file size limit?
According to Discord's Help Center: 20 MB on a free account, 50 MB with Nitro Basic and up to 1 GB with Nitro.
Why do some guides say 8 MB or 10 MB?
Some older guides mention smaller limits. Discord's Help Center now lists 20 MB for free accounts, so 8 or 10 MB targets only make sense if you want a smaller, faster file.
Why is the result a bit under 20 MB?
We aim a little under the target so container overhead never pushes the file over the limit.
Will the video play inside Discord?
The output is an MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio, the most widely supported combination for video players and apps.
Is my video kept?
No. The upload is deleted as soon as processing ends, and the result 30 minutes after it's ready.
