Frequently asked questions

Which format should I choose?

JPG for photos you'll share anywhere, PNG for screenshots and graphics with sharp edges or transparency, WebP for websites (smaller files, supported by all current browsers).

Does converting JPG to PNG improve quality?

No. PNG preserves exactly what's in the JPG, including its compression artifacts, and the file gets bigger.

Why don't I see AVIF?

Your browser can't encode AVIF. The option only appears when the browser supports it.
